CEPIS Logo Center for Educator Preparation Information Systems  

The CEPIS center was established to promote information technology development in the College of Education. Goals for CEPIS are: to extend the utilization of database resources, promote data-based program development, and encourage research on factors associated with teacher quality enhancement.

Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants  

The DAME project receives Title II funding to participate in the development of XML and Web Services techniques to improve the exchange of data between institutions of higher education and the Kentucky EPSB. The project also participates in the development of standardized database models for use by teacher preparation programs.

Curriculum Review and Response  

The Data Utilization component of the UK Title II Teacher Quality Curriculum Review and Response Strand is focused on developing techniques to translate the work of the Curriculum Alignment Work Teams into database formats for use in web-based IT applications. The project is also developing web-portal applications that facilitate the work of curriculum alignment teams.
